Three ways I’m making my book nook cozy

What I bought on Prime Day plus good deals you can still get

A Pair of arrow bookends with a stack of books on a credenza

Have you created a space in your home dedicated to books? If you’re a reader like me, I’m sure you have a book nook! I already had some essential items: a cozy chair, bookshelves and lots and lots of books, but I wanted to add an extra special touch.

I had one goal when shopping Amazon this Prime Day: making my book nook cozier. I found some items I loved in the Creative Co-op and Illume Amazon storefronts on sale, but I couldn’t decide what to get! I had the idea of letting my Instagram followers choose for me.

I was so happy with what they chose. Unfortunately, the pinecone bookends I had my eye on sold out, but I was able to get my hands on some arrow bookends that I loved just as much. It just goes to show that you should always shop sales early!

Here’s what I ended up getting:

Arrow Bookends

If you have books, you need bookends, LOL! Nothing is worse than a tipped over stack of books. If you’re like me, your collection is constantly changing as you buy more or give some away. These arrow bookends will help keep all my shelves tidy even as books come and go.

I love how sturdy and hefty they are. The cast iron gives them quite a bit of weight, and the black arrows are striking. They grab attention and get visitors to look closer at my books!

Plaid Black and Tan Blanket

You should always be cozy when you’re reading! I wanted a new blanket to cuddle up in while I was sitting in my favorite reading chair. This plaid blanket is thick and warm, and the fringe is so fun! I’m excited to cozy up in it while I’m reading and throw it over the arm of the chair while I’m not. Plus, the black plaid is so trendy right now!

I also had some blank space on my shelves, so I wanted to add a candle. How gorgeous is this desert glass? Personally, I like to mix books with other decorative items, such as candles, small clocks and artificial flowers. This provides some visual interest to your shelves and breaks up the row of books.

Plus, the smell is sweet and very strong. You should have seen the way my dog perked up when I opened the box! She came right over sniffing to find out what we got in that package. I think she was disappointed it wasn’t edible, though.

This candle is so gorgeous, I may just have to move it around so it’s in my photos no matter where I take them. I’m always looking for more bookstagram props. I bet you’ll be seeing this candle popping up on my page a lot!

All that to say, I’ve found two new brands that I love! I plan to follow both the Creative Co-op and Illume stores so I can see what’s new and find out about sales.
