For me, podcasts are a lifesaver. I regularly commute an hour to work in an area with no good public transportation. I use podcasts and audiobooks to keep the boredom at bay.
These are my five favorite podcasts that talk about books, marketing, money and more!
So Money Podcast with Farnoosh Torabi
Farnoosh Torabi takes a feminist approach to money. She thinks that every woman should manage her own finances and take control of her own money situation. Her primary focus is on investing, but she brings in guests who can speak to diverse money-adjacent topics, from the problem with hustle culture to how to be a better boss.
Favorite Podcast Episodes:
1247: The Female “Ambition Penalty” with Stefanie O’Connell Rodriguez
This episode speaks to how when women exhibit behavior that isn’t traditionally feminine, sometimes they experience a backlash that is the cost of their ambition.
1183: Think Like a Breadwinner with Jennifer Barrett, Author and Money Expert
This episode challenges women to think about how their career and money choices would have been different if they had been raised to be the breadwinner. Women can’t count on working hard and being rewarded, instead, they need to learn to negotiate and close the wealth gap.
The Goal Digger Podcast
First of all, Jenna Kutcher has an amazing voice! I could listen to her talk about anything. I found her podcast because of her marketing tips, where she taught me how to grow my Instagram, start my Pinterest and grow my email list. But I stayed for the personal development tips. Jenna shows how to live a successful, balanced life as an ambitious woman.
