What are your big goals?
Ready to tackle your scary, it’ll take so much hard work, wildest dream goals? I’ve always been a New Year’s resolution person. The problem with New Year’s Resolutions is the old cliché: they don’t last. At least, not unless you have a system in place to help you succeed. I am so excited to share with you what I’ve found that finally works for me!
I first got the Ink+Volt planner back in 2017, and its goal-oriented approach changed how I think about success. Three years ago, I set a five-year plan to get my dream promotion at my day job. I broke those goals down by year, and I’ve been pursuing it ever since. I was incredibly blessed to get that next-level promotion after only completing step one, but I’m continuing the journey to allow me to position myself for more leadership roles in the future.
Here’s the five year plan I wrote, in case you’re curious:
- Year one: Get a professional certification to boost my resume
- Year two and three: Get my master’s degree to boost my resume
- Year four: Join Toastmaster’s to work on public speaking, which is probably my biggest weakness
- Year five: Land that dream job/salary!
Like many of you, I’m multi-passionate. I love all things marketing and goalsetting, but I also love reading and dream of having my own published book someday. I’m writing a draft of that book, and I started a #bookstagram during Covid quarantine out of sheer boredom that’s become one of my driving passions in life. For me, the Ink+Volt planner has been my secret sauce that allowed me to get most of it – LOL! – done.
Each year, I get so excited when my planner arrives! All those crisp, blank pages are filled with possibility! It makes it seem like any goal is achievable. And I have to say, the 2022 planner is hands-down the best one yet!
How the Planner Helps You Set Goals
This planner has you start with reflection and goalsetting. First, you set yearly goals, then break them down into monthly goals, then weekly goals and to-do’s. There’s also space to block out each monthly and weekly calendar.
For me, breaking down those big goals into bite-size goals was lifechanging. This planner makes it so easy, too! I’ve always known that you need to tackle big goals a bit at a time, but this planner gives you the perfect roadmap.
I absolutely love the progress tracker that you fill in as you accomplish steps towards your goals! It’s so satisfying to see that progress bar tick higher.
Things I love
I can personally vouch for the fact that these are sturdy! I carry my yearly planner around in my purse every day. In fact, that’s my number one requirement for a purse: space for my Ink+Volt planner.
The color options are great, too! Mine is from the Pacific series, but they also have the Brilliant, Signature and Limited Edition series. Over the years, I’ve had a planner from each color family.
